Research On Shazeen Samad

Shazeen Samad:
The reason I have chosen Shazeen Samad is because of their colour manipulation in their photos. It is a type of technique I would like to experiment with when I do my nature shoot which is when I will go and shoot at the coast and of the beach. The most interesting thing that Shazeen Samad does is when he  changes the colour of the sunset and when he adds at the silhouetted affect. This style of photography is very interesting because it removes the person from the photo and creates a shadow affect of a person on them.

In this photo we see another fisherman releasing their fishing net into the sea against a yellow background thus creating a serene image which creates a rather tranquil image.

Here we see two people silhouetted in the sea as they kick water at each other. The interesting thing about this image is the different colours found in the image. We have a blue and also a yellow in the image which again creates a contrast between the image making it rather interesting.

This photo depicts a person flipping another person over in the water.  What makes this image standout from the rest of the images that Shazeen Samad has taken is in this photo we see that it is in black and white where every other photo he has taken and then later manipulated he has added some form of colour to make it seem more interesting and bright.

In this photo we see a fisherman holding up his largest catch of the day against an orange sunset. The person and their boat is silhouetted. The contrast against the black and orange creates a rather calming affect and makes it almost seem tranquil.
This photographer has influenced me to try and be more experimental with my shoots and add colour and other types of techniques to my final bits of work. Almost all of his photos have some form of colour manipulation but all of them do feature some form of silhouetted figure within them. The overall feeling I get from this work is the same feeling I get when laying down on the beach in a hot country. It creates a rather tranquil and surreal feeling.

To summarise Shazeen Samad is a rather experimental photographer who's main focus in his work seems to be colour manipulation.
