Here in this reference image we see a puddle with a rather crisp and clear reflection within it. The interesting thing about this image is that within the image everything else is blurred with only the puddle being in focus due to the shallow depth of field within the image, meaning that all the attention of the viewer is brought to the centre of the image. This gives us an element of framing by making the dirt around the puddle the frame for the puddle at the centre of the image. I would say that the f/stop of the image would be between 2.8-5.6.
My Image:
For my image we see that there is a higher contrast between different element within the image. The reflection within my image is also upright and not inverted like the above image. We have framing with in my image but not the same type as the above. In mine we have a line though the middle of the image allowing for the framing of the centre of the image to be upwards across the entire image and have the frames of dirt on either side of the middle.
The Connection:The main connection between the two images are that they are of a reflection in a very small puddle. The other connection between the two images is that they are both puddles in a forest and show reflections of trees one inverted and the other not. We also have framing in two different forms in the images.
