For this project my subject of matter is water and I have decided to try and mainly focus on up close water. My initial shoot will be of some droplets of water to get some general idea of how to take up close pictures of water and to start of the project of water by investigating how drops of water interact with each other.
As stated above my main focus this project will be on investigating water up close because I believe it will be an interesting way in which to explore water. I am going to start off this project in the studio an then evolve it into an outdoor shoot towards the end of the project then possibly go back to the studio to bring it all full circle. I also plan to start of with small drops of water and ink to see how they all interact then move onto larger objects being dropped into a fish tank and capturing the splashes created from the drop. Then I would like to move to experimenting with fire on water both in and out of the studio.

Here is an example of the fruit being dropped into a tank of water. |
This allows me to get the transition from studio to outdoors as well without it being a sudden thing. Then I plan on doing some reflective shoots in the forest of water and seeing how that turns out. After which I then wish to go back to the studio and put small droplets of water on a glass sheet and see how they interact with each other.

Here we have an example of fire on water which I plan to do late in the shoot. |
For my exam shoot I plan on doing a beach shoot where I keep the exposure open for a long period of time because I believe it will be rather interesting. I have seen one photographer do this previously and found it to be very interesting so I plan to do it myself for the exam because I think it will be a strong shoot.

Even though this isn't a beach shot this is still a good example of the technique I plan to use. |
To sum up I have the main shoot ideas which are above. Close up water shots which links directly with water for this project. Then I will continue the theme with the exam shoot but using a separate technique for most of it.
